The Difference Between Bay and Bow Windows

While both bay and bow windows are popular choices for homeowners seeking to enhance natural light and views, the two have fundamental differences. Bay windows typically consist of three windows protruding from the house, creating a bay in the room. On the other hand, bow windows usually consist of four or more windows that curve outwards, forming a bow shape. This design allows for more natural light and gives a broader view of the outdoors. Both options offer unique benefits and can be customized to your taste and home's architectural style.

Benefits of Bay/Bow Windows

Our windows deliver quality through every layer, ensuring strength, durability, and protection. Here are some key features to expect.

Edge Banding

This feature covers the exposed plywood interior edges of the head, seat, and side jambs with matching wood edge banding for a seamless and clean appearance.

Window Panning System

Our sophisticated window panning system provides the ultimate protection against water infiltration. The PVC panning profiles wrap around and adhere to the vertical mullions and seat board, creating an effective interior gutter system.

PVC Wrapped Exterior

The exterior of our windows is wrapped in PVC, offering an array of color options—White, Beige, Sandstone, Classic Bronze, and Coal Black.

Solid Wood Mullion Design

Our unique mullion design is aesthetically pleasing and incredibly sturdy. The high-quality laminated lumber used in our design is lag bolted to the head and seat, providing maximum strength. Its weather-resistant features ensure durability and longevity, outperforming standard wood by 25%.

Turn-Buckled Cable Support System

We employ an adjustable turn-buckled cable support system to ensure our windows never bow or sag. This system supports the frame from the top using a heavy-duty 6" hook and turnbuckle.
